What a day! I finally feel like a true tourist! Unfortunately we slept through the alarm and we didn’t get up until 9:00. We met up with Lance and Carol and had a wonderful but late breakfast. Carol made my day by beaming me the keyboard program for my Palm Pilot. After breakfast, we took a cab to Marble Arch and hopped on a guided tour bus. We were finally seeing the sites of London. It was a wonderful tour that allowed us to see Buckingham Palace, Wellington Arch, Westminster Abbey, London Eye, Big Ben & Parliament, Horse Guards’ Parade, St. Paul’s Cathedral, Monument, London Bridge, Tower Bridge and The Tower of London. We scheduled a tour of The Tower of London but ran out of time. We headed back to the hotel and met up with Lance, Carol, Ann, Ben and Helen for a wonderful dinner at an Italian Restaurant. After dinner John and Poppy went to a local pub. We figured tonight would be a better and less crowded night to go.
I have to say how wonderfully proud I am of my boys. Carter and Nathan went the entire day without a stroller which was no small feat. We walked several miles today and they were little troopers. They were excited about going on the double-decked bus and seemed to enjoy the sights. Even Andrew was loving everything. They never once had any tantrums or gave us a lick of trouble. However, the day wore them out so much that Nathan fell asleep on the bus home and Carter fell asleep during the middle of his dinner. Andrew on the other hand was a bundle of energy and laughed & played up until 10:00!
