Carter & Naomi: 2 years old
Andrew: 0 years old
Marshall: 3 years old

Technically this is a continuation of yesterday but it felt like a good place to “break” the story. With London traffic it was a rather long ride to our hotel but the view was exquisite! We got checked in at the hotel and freshened up before heading out to find something to eat. Carter were bouncing around the room saying “go on elevator, go on elevator”. When we finally said we were going back on the elevator he made two fists, shook them at me and screamed “ME EXCITED” It was hilarious! We were told where to head to find some great restaurants but unfortunately they were either too fancy for children, yuppy coffee houses or pubs. We finally found a pub that had outdoor seating but the food was borderline uneatable. Because the tables were on uneven pavement we couldn’t have our drinks on them because the boys kept bumping the table. On top of all of that it was very windy and chilly. We finished up our lunch and as it was only 4pm we decided to push our way through until 7pm and then crash early. We decided to head back to the hotel, freshen up and then go sight seeing. By the time we walked back to the hotel all three boys were COMPLETELY passed out. They were beyond waking up so we revised our plan and decided to crash. We called room service to get some cokes (no vending machines) and tried to settle in a little more. We watched a little tv and both fell asleep. We woke up minutes later and John went to the concierge to see if they had an electric adapter for my laptop. They did but when I plugged in the power cord it threw off sparks and smoke came billowing out! The adapter didn’t fit well so I figured that’s what blew it out. I decided to try to force myself to go to sleep (unfortunately the nap rejuvenated me). I have to sleep with a fan on for the white noise but when I plugged it into the adapter it threw off sparks and smoke came billowing out! So those that know me well know that I was not a happy camper! Here I was without adequate food, little to no sleep, no computer and no fan for white noise! At this point I was seriously considering hopping on the next plane home!
