Girl Scouts open house

Emily really wants to join Girl Scouts so we went to an open house tonight. She was hooked! Some of the older Girl Scouts took the new recruits into a back room to learn a song while the parents watched a presentation about Girl Scouts. When the presentation was over, the girls returned and put on a little show for us. Emily can’t wait for her first meeting. The best part is the meetings are at Emily’s school, every other Thursday and when the meetings are over, Emily will be taken over to after school care.

On a sad note, our pet Spike died today. We had him for over a year and weren’t sure how old he was when we got him. We believe he died of old age and hope that his last year was as happy for him as it was for us.
