New room

The nurses gave me my antibiotic this morning and a few minutes later, it felt like an elephant was sitting on my chest.  They called in the rapid response team to do a quick EKG.  The EKG was normal but they were concerned about my rapid heartbeat and blood pressure and moved me to a cardiac floor for constant monitoring.  The difference between the two rooms was night and day.  The first room was so small there was only enough room for a folding chair for any visitors.  I was also in a horrific orthopedic bed with the bars for pulling yourself to a sitting position.  The bars were positioned in such a way that you couldn’t see the t.v.  VERY dumb design!  The new room was a suite with a sofa that pulled out to a bed.  It also had a very large flat screen t.v. that was hooked up to on demand movies and the internet!  There was a large wall of windows that had remote controlled blinds!  It’s insane how beautiful this room is!  It’s a shame that I don’t feel well enough to even watch t.v. let alone take advantage of the on demand movies!
