Day 2 in the Ocala National Forest

What an amazing feeling waking up to the sounds of mother nature and the chirping birds.  Too bad it was immediately followed by 6 children saying “I’m hungry, I’m bored, I’ve got to go potty!”  LOL  The temperature started rising pretty quickly and we soon realized why this campground closes on April 15th – because it’s just too hot to camp after that.  We decided to put all of the kids in the car and headed out exploring in the National Forest.  We took any and every dirt road we could find and believe it or not, had a blast.  The kids were discussing what would happen if you just quite pushing the gas pedal …. so I showed them.  They then wondered if you put the car in neutral at the top of the hill if it would have enough momentum to make it up the next hill …. so I showed them.  We were all belly laughing and having a great time.  When we got back to the campsite we all just kinda hung out doing our own thing.  At one point I was laying in the second row of the Suburban with all of the doors open enjoying the shade and cool breeze and fell asleep.  That was the best power nap EVER!  It’s hard to believe we have to pack it all up and go home tomorrow!
