Last night, in order to get Carter & Nathan to go to sleep without a lot of fuss, I promised the boys we would do something special today. Not wanting to go back on a promise, we drove down to Melbourne (1½ hrs) and went to the Brevard County Zoo. We spent 3½ hrs looking at exotic animals, riding trains, playing on playgrounds, and pigging out on junk food. Since we were only 15 miles from the beach, I decided to throw caution to the wind and go for it! Carter and Nathan had a blast. Andrew was not the least bit impressed but still had a good time (as long as mommy was holding him). The only thing I would have done differently if I had the chance was packed a change of clothes and bathing suits! Poor Carter and Nathan had to ride home with nothing but diapers on because their clothes were drenched in water and sand!
