Today was national “Destroy Ms. Susan’s House” and we celebrated it to the fullest!

Cute Story #1 – Nathan has this pig that he has literally loved to death (the stuffing started coming out). Several weeks ago I found it and hid it hoping he wouldn’t ask for it – worked like a charm! We were in Toys R Us today and were looking at the little stuffed animals. I saw a pig similar to the one he loved so much and said “Na-Na do you want this pig?”. He gets all excited and yells “YEAH!”. I then hand it to him and he breathes real heavy and says “Oooooo Thaaaaaank Yoooooouuuuuu Mommy!”. He thanked me 4 more times before we got home! Bless his little pig loving heart!

Cute Story #2 – Carter and Nathan were giving us quite the run around about going to bed. John and I both went in there several times to tell them to be quiet and go to sleep. I finally went in, put one hand on the door knob and the other on my hip and just glared at them. This was our conversation:

Me: “Didn’t I tell you to go to sleep?”
Carter:  “Yes”
Me:  “Didn’t your father tell you to go to sleep?
Carter:  “Yes”
Me:  “Then why aren’t you asleep?”
Carter:  (while laughing) “Not sleepy”
Me:  “Carter, it’s not funny!”
Carter:  (gets real serious) “Um, you’re not laughing!”

I tell you what I wasn’t laughing until he said that!
