What an incredible feeling it is to watch the growth of your children! Carter & Nathan sat up unassisted for the first time this past Friday (7/23/99). It was such an incredible sight to see them sitting there staring at the floor. Within a few moments they lifted their head and saw my face. Both of their faces lit up with joy when their eyes met mine. What a glorious sight that was!
Another incredible sight was this evening. I had both boys on their play mat and I was doing their nightly physical therapy (we practice sitting, standing, crawling & rolling over). Carter was on his stomach and Nathan was on his back – they were head to head. Nathan rolled over onto his stomach so he could get a better look at Carter. Nathan reached up with his hand (dropping his toy) to touch Carter’s face. Meanwhile, Carter reaches over and steals Nathan’s toy! I sure do have a lot to look forward to!
