What a GREAT day (and that ain’t no April Fool’s joke!!!!) We had our well visit today with the pediatrician and he can’t believe how well the boys are doing. By the next visit (July) they should be caught up to a full term baby in terms of weight/height/development, which doesn’t usually happen to preemies until they are 2 years old! Carter now weighs a whopping 10 lbs. 13 oz and is 21 5/8 inches long; Nathan now weighs 8 lbs. 13 oz and is 20 3/4 inches long. Both boys are totally healthy and eating up a storm. Carter eats approximately 35 oz a day and Nathan eats about 28 oz which is great. Nathan did have a small ‘lump’ which the doctor thinks could possibly be a hernia (which would explain his vomiting). He isn’t too concerned about it but is referring us to a pediatric surgeon. We won’t be able to see him until April 8th so I’ll let you know how that goes.
Today was a major milestone for Nathan – he rolled over!!!!! Wouldn’t you know it – John and I both missed it. John was at work and I had put Nathan down on his stomach while I fed Carter. When I returned, Nathan was on his back. I was so excited that I wanted to rent a billboard and tell all of Orlando!!!!! My little babies are growing up!
